Diploma Collection

When an artist is elected as an Associate or a Member of the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers (RE), a condition of membership is that he/she must donate one print (selected by the election committee) to the RE Diploma Collection. This is a substantial, historic collection of Members’ prints dating back to the earliest days of the Society and containing works by distinguished Members past and present including Dame Laura Knight, Graham Sutherland and Norman Ackroyd. The collection is housed in the print room of the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford, and is available for viewing on request to the museum.

An online version of the diploma collection can be accessed at the University of the West of England's Centre for Fine Print Research website.
