The Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers runs two competitions each year that are open to those who are not members of the society. They are encouraged to join in and submit work online.
THE NATIONAL ORIGINAL PRINT EXHIBITION
The competition deadline falls in June after an online submission period. Selection is through digital submission online. The exhibition of successful entries is held at Bankside Gallery the following September. Prizes and awards are presented at the opening evening. The National Original Print Exhibition competition was created to showcase the best in contemporary printmaking in any printmaking technique.
The deadline for entering prints to this competition falls at the end of August following an online submission period. The exhibition of successful entries is held at Bankside Gallery the following November. The Masters is a technique specific competition. A prominent member of the RE, recognised as a master of his or her craft, curates each year’s exhibition. Both the printmaking technique and the curator changes each year. The successful entries are selected digitally, and prizes and awards are presented at the opening evening of the exhibition.
