Ever since Coronavirus put normal life on hold, we have all had to adapt to new ways of doing things. During lockdown, some artists of the RE had no access to printmaking presses or their usual way of working and therefore had to find new ways of producing their work.
Despite the practical challenges for many it was still a hugely productive time. This exhibition allows us to see how this extraordinary global situation has filtered into the work of these artists and how they have responded.
See the FEATURES page to read about some of the artist's experiences of working through the first lockdown in Spring.
Due to the introduction of a second lockdown, this exhibition will be online only from 6 November, but we plan to display the works in Bankside Gallery as soon as restrictions are lifted again.
