As a printmaker I have worked with a variety of media and in a number of different ways. My subject matter has varied over the years although one of the primary concerns has always been with drawing. The prints I am working on are from a series of works which started in 2006 when I began to look more closely at domestic dwellings and urban environments. Although I find pleasure in underlying abstract and formal concerns and this is what attracts me initially, my work at first glance is resolutely figurative. I am not interested in narrative however or storytelling. I hope that each piece I complete can stand alone although I realise as with any artists work sometimes it helps to see a series of related works to get a flavour of that particular artists concerns.
