A copper plate with a hard ground and access to a wide range of mark-making tools is my creative bliss.  Trees; non-topographical landscape and dense, detailed flora are my stimulation in searching for textured effects.  These include cross-hatching from the loose and diaphanous to – relatively – in your face brutish.  I am indebted to the example of Morandi, Villon and Gross fro showing a line of enquiry, which still thrills me.
