Kate Dicker RE

With monotype, Kate makes atmospheric images based on industrial views across rivers and estuaries.  The process lends itself well to the overlaying of translucent and opaque mixes of colours that create, for the viewer, a sense of seeing through the scene and across to the middle distance.
“Printmaking feels like a performance - you know the subject, the inks and colours are working co-operatively, there’s a buzz about the work and, from there, creative risks can take place to bring out that extra something.”
Kate also specialises in wood engraving and is an elected member of The Society of Wood Engravers.
